Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Define sustainability issues for work area
   • Identify sustainability goals of enterprise as they relate to work area
2. Identify actual or possible sustainability issues in work area
3. Identify current maintenance strategy for work area
4. Identify changes to maintenance strategy which may improve sustainability outcomes
5. Consult with stakeholders about sustainability issues and maintenance changes
6. Assess current maintenance practice for sustainability implications
   • Evaluate current maintenance procedures for plant and equipment sustainability implications
7. Discuss current maintenance practices with stakeholders to determine any plant and equipment sustainability issues
8. Recommend changes to improve plant and equipment sustainability impact in accordance with procedures
9. Implement the sustainable maintenance strategy and practices for the work area
   • Arrange for approved changes to be incorporated into procedures and work plans
10. Identify training needs in liaison with relevant personnel
11. Support personnel to develop required competencies
12. Collect data according to own work plan
13. Develop required information and compare with performance indicators
14. Recommend sustainability improvements in accordance with procedures
15. Monitor implementation of improvements and recommend any further required changes
